in the last year or so, there's no denying that there's been outbreak after outbreak of youtube artists making it big, be it in hollywood or even around the internet. youtube has given us artists as big as justin bieber and artists like aj rafael -- who is, admittedly, less famous, but definitely not less talented.

the reason why we bring this up today is this:

that right there is our very good friend paolo manga (and the video is a personal favorite!) who we believe is going to be among the many youtube artists about to make it big in the very near future. :-) his videos are in need of circulation for this to happen so if you have an account, do subscribe. i swear his covers are nothing short of amazing.

here is his latest cover (no actual video, but still really good):

paolo, if you're reading this. please send us tickets to your concerts and shows. we are crossing our fingers and toes for you! (when you do appear on ellen, please take us with you!!!) :-)

after watching the debate and reading all the tweets of my peers, i can honestly say that we are more mature than you give us credit for.

i am personally for the RH bill. i totally support it because it provides free health care for those who cannot afford it, it EDUCATES the masses about sex (std's, preventions, etc.) and because it provides people the extra option.

i highly recommend that you read this blog to open your minds a little bit on the RH bill. :-) this was quoted from my good friend, jessica biscocho! :-) she literally just took the words right out of my mouth!

RANTING AND FRUSTRATIONS (RH BILL)
I AM WATCHING HARAPAN (Debate on RH Bill) and I AM SO FRUSTRATED HEARING THE ARGUMENTS COMING FROM THE ANTI SIDE. All caps, haha, passionate. Let me tell you what I think regarding this issue
Natural family planning is ideal, conceded. I mean, who wouldn’t prefer education over artificial means right? BUT THE TRUTH IS, IT ISN’T EXACTLY APPLICABLE IN THE PHILIPPINE SETTING. WHY? Because we can’t afford it! I mean, c’mon, let’s face it. How many Filipinos live below poverty line? How many of us CAN’T EVEN AFFORD PROPER EDUCATION? How many cannot read and write? AND YOU EXPECT THEM TO COMPREHEND THE INTRICACIES OF NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING? Especially considering that those who are most affected by unwanted pregnancies and families that are too big to support are those who live in poverty, those who have enough problems trying to figure out how they will manage to find food for the day, find a place to sleep in, etc. You really think education of naturally family planning will be effective for these people? REALLY?
My intention is not to belittle them, I don’t mean to insult their comprehension abilities. But I speak in general terms, the propensity for this kind of method to be of success in the Philippine context.
Natural family planning is ideal, but having other options won’t kill.
Implementing the RH BILL won’t suddenly make the teenagers come running around having pre-marital sex.
EXAGGE MASYADO YUNG MGA PRO-RH BILL.
Personally, I believe that at the end of the day, it’s all still about individual principles. Just because there’s a cure available doesn’t mean people would want to get sick. Likewise, just because there’s a way out or there’s an alternative option to avoiding unwanted pregnancies doesn’t mean everyone will bend their own convictions.
Pre-marital sex HAPPENS with or without the RH BILL. Turning the other way and pretending this issue doesn’t exist, pretending that all Filipinos are innocent and uncorrupted by the world, as how I understood the Catholic church was assuming as they kept on ranting about how Filipinos are makapamilya and that we’re moral and we shouldn’t then be adopting western ways or what have you, WILL NOT HELP ALLEVIATE THE ISSUE.
Lastly, there is nothing inherently ungodly about the RH BILL, okay. RH BILL DOES NOT EQUATE TO ABORTION.
I like what was said in HARAPAN earlier, that RH bill is actually about contraceptives and the prevention of unwanted pregnancies. HENCE, IT EVEN PREVENTS ABORTION.
ALSO, RH BILL DOESN’T NAMAN PUSH CONTRACEPTIVES DOWN PEOPLE’S THROATS! Rather, they provide more options. It caters to those who can afford the natural family planning as well as to those who cannot.
I don’t know if it’s just me, or what. But I don’t see anything wrong with that.

as promised from last time, here are some photos of us after our barre3 class at the spa in rockwell. :-)

so, from left to right, that's me (justine), melissa, our instructor, franco and la.

this was actually the 4th class that melissa and i have attended together. we started out going to the free classes that the spa offered, then once we were convinced that this was the workout routine for us, we decided to go for the regular classes that they offered. melissa applied for the membership which costs about Php5,500. you can apply for either unlimited or monthly. the monthly membership has about 10 consumable lessons good for 2 months.

i didn't apply for the membership anymore because my parents had coupons from allied bank for free barre3 lessons at the spa. i had about 15 coupons, which is why la and franco decided to join us. i told them i would "treat" them to their first barre3 class.
